Happy Fourth of July

Even though I'm still on my Anniversary Blog Break, I wanted to wish each of you a Happy Fourth of July and share a few videos with you!

So in typical Chasing Quaintness style, I'm sharing something funny.....

....and something musical!

Have a wonderful and blessed day and weekend!!

  1. Ok, that is me trying to remember my own history lessons. The only ones that are burned into my brain are the ones that were featured on School House Rock, Saturday Mornings! 'We the people, in order to form a perfect union..." I can still hear the song! Happy 4th!

    1. Schoolhouse Rock is one my most favorite shows from childhood! “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, get your adverbs here” and “Conjunction Junction, what’s your function?” The song you mentioned is the only way I remembered the Preamble when we had to recite it in class…LOL! Hope you had a great 4th!

    1. We did and do also Brenda! We watch it all the time and have the first 3 seasons on DVD. I didn't like it when Don Knotts left the show and they started having color episodes...those were definitely not as good! Hope you had a great 4th with your family!

  6. Poor Barney.

Was it on FB the other day that I saw someone post that on this wonderful, happy, feel good show, that not one of the main characters was married? Only Otis, the town drunk?

    1. I know…bless his heart! I think that is correct. Barney was a “playa”….LOL I know one time they tried to imply that Floyd was married when they mentioned his daughter and then on another episode “Those Gossiping Men”, Floyd brought a son to try out for the shoe salesman. Rafe Hollister was married and they showed his wife, but he wasn’t a regular on the show.
